Cosmo at the fire pit at Stonewalls Stonewalls’ Prime Rib LP on Main a/k/a Louisiana PurchaseĪnother of our favorite restaurants in Banner Elk is LP on Main a/k/a Louisiana Purchase. This restaurant has outdoor seating available. However, if you don’t want to wait outside by the fire pit with a nice cocktail or two for an hour, then I’d make a reservation! On Friday and Saturday nights they have live, but quiet entertainment in the bar. The dress here is kind of upscale casual… jeans are okay! They are open daily from 5-9pm, and reservations are not necessary. Sometimes we go just for the salad bar and one of their yummy martinis! Stonewalls has excellent fresh fish, savory soups, amazing escargot, an enormous fresh salad bar, ribs, chicken, and pasta. If you’re not a steak person, they’ve got something else for you. Their steaks are always seasoned and cooked perfectly. Stonewalls has been in business in Banner Elk since 1985 for good reason! They have excellent quality steaks with great service at a descent price. The steak house, Stonewalls is one of our go-to Banner Elk restaurants. For instance, here’s what we enjoyed the last time we visited Artisanal: It’s a beautiful setting for an outstanding meal. The evenings are a little chilly, but they do provide heaters outside. In the Summer you can choose to sit outside on their brookside patio. The interior has gorgeous high wood beamed ceilings, wooden horses, white tablecloths, an elegant bar area and an amazing open kitchen! The exterior looks like a beautiful old barn although it’s a new building. The setting is stunning farmland! The restaurant was built with reclaimed wood and is rustic, yet elegant. It is off the beaten path, nestled down a little country road. It may even be one of my favorite restaurants in the entire state! In fact, Artisanal has been named a Top 100 Restaurant in the entire United States by Open Table and has received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence!Īrtisanal is an upscale, fully farm to table restaurant.
